Description
'Dead Cert' is the first novel written by former horse jockey and sports writer Dick Francis. His crime thrillers, set in and around horse racing, have been widely acclaimed for their accuracy and detail. In this novel, Bill Davidson was alive when the race started, but dead astride his horse at the finish line. Racing is dangerous enough, but fellow jockey Alan York almost winds up as dead just for asking questions about it.
