When her grandchildren were young, Marietta "Mamaw" Muir invited then to spend the summer at Sea Breeze, her historic home on Sullivan's Island. Half-sisters Dora, Carson, and Harper different in so many ways raced along the shoreline, reveling in their freedom and forging ties Mamaw hoped would always last. But those idyllic vacations have long since given way to adult cares. And Mamaw, knowing that she must sell Sea Breeze and move to a retirement home, has invited her granddaughters for one more summer together.
